ra cailum – infinite value

June 7, 2011

Ra Cailum aka the project of Chicago’s Anthony Englehardt, known for chilled out beats and drowned out vocals, has shifted styles since completing his second EP Change. Anthony, about his openly noted turn, stated “I intended to do something outside of the realm of Chillwave, because I never intended on doing that all the time..It has become a crutch”  And listening to Ra Cailum’s most recent release, Infinite Value, he kept his word. One of the inspirations Anthony carried into Infinite Vaule was a personal favorite Jaded Hipster Choir, a man who started JHC as jokingly covering Owen Pallett. Take my word or experience it yourself, Infinite Value is more of a cinematic experience than any of Ra Cailum’s releases.

Head over to Ra Cailum’s Bandcamp, throw on your best headphones, and space out while you journey into an ambient paradise.
