[shows] tiny-waves.com + sewer greats + zombietoberfest

September 30, 2011

Call it a holiday, but there are 3 limitless events occuring over the next two days on the paved streets of Orlando.

Tonight: Tiny-Waves.com Launch Show

A few visionaries around the state have created a slick-looking website in the name of overlapped art forms and are hosting a party to celebrate it. The launch show is tonight at Will’s Pub and features tunes from Tallahassee’s graveyard-pop act Jane Jane Pollock, Gainesville’s experimental duo Hear Hums, Orlando’s “purpwave” crew Southern Nights, and a very intricate, very special performance by the fabled Maximino. Show starts at 9pm, give the doorman $5 and float for awhile. Oh, yeah Levek is DJing.

Tonight: Sewer Greats: Eleventies Florida-Con Rager

Right down the street at Stardust members of the uber-awesome Sewer Greats Mixtapes are throwing it down. The ever energetic Matt Kamm has introduced the internet to real life and crafted a lineup that boasts Chill Mega Chill’s most recent signee JSHIH and a list of the finest weirdos this side of the Atlantic:  Tele(thon), The Electric Nature, Sean Moore, Lo<KJAWMICH∆EL MYERZTHIS COMING PLAGUEKITTY PRYDE, BEAU DREAMM. Doors are at 9pm; it costs money.

Tomorrow: Zombietoberfest 2011

You think you’ve had enough ear related sex for the weekend? No. Zombietoberfest 2011 is here with three stages overflowing with beauty. Look and listen to the best the promoters have to offer >> Roadkill Ghost Choir, Fever, Michael Parallax, Loud Valley (last date of their tour), Howling OwlsIntro to Sunshine (they’re back), everyone from the Tiny-Waves.com show, and much, much more. It’s especially bright for Orlando’s up and comers Fortune Howl and xxyyxx, who have never played live before. The festivities begin at 6pm + are taking place at Stardust, Park Ave CDs, and another location we don’t know about.
